Why do you keep this thread alive by asking me Why do I keep this thred alive? HMMMMM>> Besides, I don't have any hard feelings towards this person. I'm only teasing him. I disagreed with my father the same way when I was his age.

btw. You shouldn't kiss his ass now just because you might see him in person. Have a nice Day!

Fend for yourself and quit disrespecting your father because he won't baby you. You have no grounds to . . . until at least you are willing to fend for yourself. Grow up! :|

Exactly. This is the reason why kids should not leave home until they have matured a majority of the way, usually occuring somewhere around 18. The damn kid is mooching 100% off his parents yet he gripes when he has to conform to a couple of their rules. I live at home and commute to school. I pay for 100% of my school costs. I have even given my parents over $3000 to live here for the past year and a half. Yet I still work in the family business for free dealing with customers and installing equipment year round (although I do make sure that the work fits in between my school schedule) - and I do chores around the house and help out my parents with all sorts of projects around the property, with vehicles, etc. I don't gripe to my parents about the work, I ust try to get as much done as possible so that the family and I succeed.

This kid needs a serious whipping and an attitude adjustment.

i still don't understand......was he saying it in a mean way or just sorta casual

he's reluctant to drive me 10 minutes round trip to the mall, let alone school - he drove me to school about 2 or 3 times over about 8 monthes of school, even though i come home every weekend, 2 weeks is the max i've been away from this god forsaken hellhole.

live on-campus

do you not notice the weekend part? they bitch at me if i dont come home on the weekends, so i have to lie if i want to stay there and chill

actually, no i didn't notice the weekend part b/c you never said that they *made* you come home on the weekends. how hard is it to make up an excuse like a group project or hw assignment?

i do when i feel like it, but i need a replenishment on the cash supply every couple weeks - cant have a bank account because i'm <18

You can have a bank account when you are less than 18 FWIW.

At least where I am from, NY, they don't let you have your own bank account until 18. Any age under 18, even with parental consent yo have your own account, you must have a custodial account. Meaning, if I want to withdraw money from my bank account, my mother has to sign it too. But the trick is, I can deposit money by myself, and she can take money by herself, which isn't fair because she can go in and take my money, but I cannot. But what the hell, keeps me from splurging on computer parts which I'll hopefully get anyway later on this month for Hannukah.

Where I am from (IN), I have to have a bank account that is in my parents' names as well as mine. Anyone who's name is on the account can deposit or withdraw from it, but the limiting factor is that since I don't have a car yet (I'm 15), they have to take me to the bank to perform any transactions, thus, they effectively limit what I can take out of the account. Concerning ATM cards: I've never asked about it, and didn't even know that they could be used with savings accounts, so I don't know what the bank's policy is on them.
