I'm not talking about what you'd do to your kid. Don't try to read between the lines... I'm talking about suing the parents and anyone within 50ft of the altercation as many of the posters here have suggested for the OP to do.If they're defending themselves or somebody else, I'll applaud them. If they're upset because somebody wouldn't give them a Tonka truck then I'd come down like a ton of bricks and nip that behavior in the bud.
But, ya, you're right. I think instead, I'll teach them to just make sure nobody is looking and to use a sock full of Linkin Logs and to deny everything afterward.
I wouldn't do that so long as there was action taken. Either the kid being suspended for a week or his parents and him apologizing in person to me and my daughter infront of the class or something. But if nothing was being done you can be damn sure I'm going to do something. As an adult, doing what he did could easily land you in jail for a couple months.....i.e. it is NOT acceptable behavior for adults so it shouldn't be for kids either, especially since kids tend to turn into adults.
What's a little 3 year old, who probably doesn't have the mental capacity to form complete sentences yet, saying "I'm sorry" going to do for you? Since you're all for teaching kids right and wrong, you're going to teach them that saying "I'm sorry" will remedy any situation.
They are three fucking years old. God damnit I would hate to see half you peoples' kids when they're 18 years old with the helicopter parents you people are. Your kid is not going to die from some mindless child's actions in a day care. It clearly is the american way that everything done has to be someone's fault-- more specifically, someone ELSE'S fault. The parents of america have to grow the fuck up.
3 yr olds know more then you think. if you catch them in teh act of doing something wrong trying to teach them that is wrong and hurts other people. so you can try to teach them sorry.
NOW if its something that happened an hour ro so ago yeah no point in it. they won't remember or understand.
