My day yesterday beat this

My advice:

Apologize to the cop, you know where you can find him again. Go up to him, and say, officer I just wanted to apologize for the way I acted yesterday... I was just having a rough day. I feel ashamed of myself.

Then go get a lawyer and hope for the best. And if you come into the courtroom with an apologetic attitude instead of a cops all suck attitude, you'll probably get off. If you go in there pissed off and indignant... You'll probably go to jail.

Just being honest with you. You do not want to make things worse for yourself... self-righteousness isnt going to pay your mortgage.

Yes there are asshole cops. There are also really polite, friendly, hardworking cops. Dont throw in the whole group because of a few bad eggs.

It helps protect the guy who's changing the tire on the side of the road that you're zipping past. They don't just make up speed limits- they're establsihed after the state determines what the maximum speed you can safely navigate the roads in most weather conditions. If 5mph over is OK, how about 6? That's only one more. If 6 is OK, how about 8? 10? 15? Most people think that they can drive better than they actually can, and if you're going too fast, you may not have time to react to a road obstruction, a pedestrian, an animal wandering into traffic, or anything else that could cause you to hurt someone or even hurt yourself. See?
