Good question.
I think you're screwed if the game software, video card and physical LCD do not support the resolution.

Might be a stupid question... but with these LCDs getting bigger and bigger and the screen res getting higher and higher... won't you be kinda screwed if your games don't support the 1920x1200 native resolution of that 2405 for example? Or even if they support it... would you be able to get acceptable FPS without having some $450+ super video card? That seems like the main reason why a lot of people stick with CRTs for gaming... resolution flexibility.
Most newer quality LCDs (within the last 18 months or so) scale down very well. The 16" LCD on my DTR runs native at UXGA (1600x1200), but actually quite well at lower resolutions.Originally posted by: Mutilator

I've never installed an AGP video card so I hope I don't screw it up.
Pics will be forthcoming tonight or tomorrow.

Hey Rossman, good deal. Can you do us a really big favor? Can you take a fairly close up pic showing the full screen at it's native res and at a lower res to see how well it scales down? I've seen the posts saying they scale well but I think it'd be cool to see exactly what the difference will be.
My 15" NEC 1545V's native is 1024x768 but looks mighty blurry at 800x600 for example. BTW thanks to hot deals forum for a great deal on that 1545 iI got it foir only $188 a couple of years ago.
