Not many people keep pet chickens, skunks, or roosters.. let alone let them out of the house if they did. Cats are in the top 2 of house pets and are also let out of the house a lot by some families who have them. Against most dogs they stand no chance in a fight, so that's why it turns out to be a cat owner in almost every situation like this... it's not about being obsessed, but people love their pets understandably.

Your hatred of cats oozes from your post.

He's asking why people always have multiple cats nut like multiple snakes or something. Well, cats are low maintainence.

Not that it matters but he said earlier in the thread they were lab shepherd mixes.

In that case, leave the dogs be, I have no problem at all with the OP, or his dogs.

Damn. Now I am having trouble sleeping, due to the traumatic fear of being beaten up because my little 3 pound miniature poodle might kill Proletariats' rare feral tabby Himalayan/Manx/Persian custom breeder. The thought that I might get attacked when I answer the door by a scrawny twerp wielding a laser pointer taped to a stick is wigging me out! All 6'2", 240 pounds of my home building ass is shaking with concern!

Oh well. Gotta go let my cat out to roam the neighborhood. He really likes to run the fences and tease the neighbors dogs, then crap on all the neighbors lawns. HA HA. So funny.

Agreed... no matter how you look at it, the cat owners shouldn't get diddly squat except a bill for $200 to pay back the OP.

HOWEVER... I have a real problem with people who own pit bulls, I really think those dogs are too viscious to keep as pets.

Wouldn't Che applaud the destruction of such a symbol of capitalistic excess?

Thats such a retarded metaphor.

Well, Mao in China had all pets killed for somewhat similar reasons.

You can keep demons summoned from hell in your backyard?

How do you keep them from breaking free?

:camera:'s of demons?

Did the $2000 cat win any awards or have parentage papers indicating a valuable bloodline?

I doubt it. If the cat was that expensive she should have kept it inside or used an Invisible Fence system. Hell, I have even seen carpet tack strips nailed to the top of wood fences to keep cats in a yard. Not very safe IMHO.

EDIT: I just remembered a Judge Judy or Peoples Court where they said that unless the cat had papers it was only worth the amount of an adoption fee from the local pound, like $9.00 or so.

Get your lawyer friend to issue a check to her for $9.00 that says on the back below where she would endorse it that you are not admiting an guilt and by cashing the check she releases you from any future claims.

i bet the bitch strapped a t-bone on her cat's back and threw it in your yard so your dogs would eat the hell out of the cat so she could sue you...

typical white trash.

I didn't read beyond the first paragraph of the OP, but:

No tags or info on the cat + your backyard = fvck the neighbor

I hate people who let their cats run loose. I REALLY hate people who let their cats run loose and then get pissed because something happened to it.

"But it's an outdoor cat!"

"Well, then accept the consequences of the outdoors!"

Fscking cat people piss me off.

From the cat I assume. When I torture a cat, it typically sh*ts itself pretty bad. It also claws and scratches, so make sure you have it declawed before you start lightly stabbing it with a fork. If you want a good challege without the risk of injury, follow the above and then give it a can of Mountain Dew before the event.

Wow. So... much... ignorance... can't... decide... what... to... respond to... first..

180k lol civil court has max settlements of a couple k max last i checked.
counter sue the b*tch for risking exposing your dog to rabies(cats inteact with all sorts of critters). it was her action that set it all in motion, not yours.
buncha greedy cons.. 180k. you don't let a breeding highly valuable cat run the neighborhood, thats total bull. only a tard would do that. a judge would laugh them outa the courtroom, letting a 180k cat run the risk of being road kill...

You shouldn't have cats that wonder about. The same cat that got its ass torn in half is the same cat that's ripping up people landscaping, leaving dead birds in people's yards, sh*tting on people's roses, etc. I'm not saying it deserved the death penalty, but ALL of these incidents (torn up gardening, cat death, etc) are the responsibility of the cat owner. Unfortunately for you, the law agrees with me.

Dogs known to attack medium sized animals also are likely to attack small children.

Totally ignorant and untrue. Cats are dogs' natural enemy. You can't draw a parallel between how a dog treats cats and how that same dog will treat children.

Besides that, it's rather likely that the cat entered the DOGS' yard and then became hostile. Yeah, that's really the dogs' fault...

And you really can't keep an eye out 24/7 for your animals.

Way to totally shirk responsibility for your pet. Granted, the OP wasn't keeping a "24/7" eye on his dogs, but they were in his yard. That's responsible pet ownership.

Opening your front door for your cat to explore the world = STUPID and IRRESPONSIBLE. Not only are you a total pain in the fscking ass to your neighbors, but you've severely let your pet down by not protecting it.

Not necessarily your fault, since the cat came into your yard. But it's NOT normal behavior for a dog to destroy another animal like that. Be careful with them in the future, because the dogs can be taken away even if it occurs in your own back yard (*YOU* simply won't be fined... it's like unknowingly owning a stolen car). Don't know if I agree with it or not, but there it is.

how is it not normal? dont confuse dogs with humans. pet dogs are kewl with people generally as they consider them part of a pack. cats..clearly not humans are more likely to set off the hunting instinct. dogs chase cats, cats chase mice and birds. whether they tear their prey apart on capture is depends on the pet, but its not completely unnatural. generally they don't know what to do with the corpse after if not taught by the momma dog/cat to eat their prey though. don't be naive, cruelty is in their nature. it is not uncommon for cats to play with their injured prey before killing like many animals do in nature. that cat probably killed and tortured countless critters in its life. it just had the tables turned on it in the end. i cant remember the exact number, but cats are responsible for hundreds of millions of birds each year

You don't know that the dogs weren't threatened by the cat (not uncommon; despite being smaller, cats can be just as aggressive with dogs as dogs are with cats). All we know is that we have a STRAY CAT whose entrails are now sitting in the OP's backyard after a cage match with his dogs. With no other information, guilty party = Cat owner. Honestly, the only information that would get him in trouble is if the dogs went off the property, dragged the cat back to their yard, and ate it.

Remember that this STRAY CAT had been previously picked up by ANIMAL CONTROL. You want to talk about being "neighborly" Proletariat? Keep your fscking pets off other people's property.
