My dying iPod Mini needs to be replaced

I have a 1st Generation iPod Mini that is just falling apart. I mean I get an hour battery life, if I'm lucky. The bottom cover is lost. My headphones are like dying (There's no bass in the right ear). I think it's time for a new iPod. So what should I get? If I wanted an iPod Touch, should I wait for Rev 2? If I wanted a iPod Classic, is the screen size ok? If I wanted a iPod Nano, isn't it small? I don't know what to get...please help.

Well, if your not looking to spend one, buy a new battery on eBay, they are like $5 bucks. You can buy the bottom covers for another $5. And then whatever headphones tickle your fancy

The problem is I think it's time to buy a new iPod. I mean this iPod mini lasted me for that long...i think it's time for a new one...right?

Sure. If you have a lot of music, go with the classic. If I had the $$$, I'd get a touch. Your mini is either 4 or 6GB, so I imagine it has enough storage space, pick up a touch. Video and WiFi. Can't beat that!

I have to agree. Plus its smaller, and cheaper for 16 gigs than the iTouch.

Yeah... Wait for another Zune to show up on Woot. They seem to pop up every two weeks, and they're $5 cheaper every time!

I JUST installed the new software, and I already found bugs! The sorted by artist playlist is broken, and I'm seeing things like Weird Al tunes in my Cake collection

Like any buggy 2.0 Microsoft product, I'd wait for the first patch.

I checked Cake and didn't find any Al's in there, I'm using version 2.1 . I've seen lots of people reporting this issue on the Zune boards but haven't seen any issues yet myself. I haven't tried to sync on my Zune since I updated though.

Take a look at the new Zune 2.0s

Zune 8 or the Zune 80 might fit you better.
