The IBM PC XT is the successor of the IBM PC. The XT stands for EXtended Technology and was introduced in early 1983. It has enhanced features: CGA graphic card, hard disk, more memory, and no more tape port (!). But it wasn't very innovative.

Deja vu. No one will believe this, but in the year 2000, I had a friend in the dorms who was actually using that computer.

I believe you. I used one in my apartment in 1993-1994 for dial up mudding. All i needed to do was scroll text and it worked perfectly for that.

u should strip it, put a x2 4400 and wxp in it and tell people ur still using a pc xt and it was blzing fast.. able to run winxp out of that

I had one of those with the 20MB Hdd and 640K ram back in 1997 or something like that. It was my first computer. Had DOS 2.1. Used to type my first elementary papers in WP 3 or something liek that. Wish I still had that thing...
