I don't know what public school you're thinking of, but I pay $30,000/year for public education.

by the way, I thought in the USA students pay for their classes. how can he kick you out, if you've paid for the service? it's not like you were behaving ina disruptive or inappropriate fashion
One can be kicked out for a number of reasons, including disruptive behavior or not doing the assigned reading when there are class discussions. Now, in this case, it sounds like it was a lame prof, but if's hard to judge from the story alone.
Many colleges have policies where the professor is not allowed to handle behavoir correction in public.

The only suggestion is don't send that reply.
It's a fight you cannot win.
I will be going to your class tomorrow, and I would require for you to instruct me on anything I missed during the time I lost. I also would like a public explanation to the class about the misunderstandings. Otherwise I would have no choice but to make a complaint to the dean.

I would just not send it. And instead if you really are upset about it go talk to him after or before class and say you really didnt mean to offend him and explain to him what you were saying. Show him that you care about the class and wernt just screwing around.
I make it a point to get to know everyone of my proffs. It helps..GREATLY

I wouldn't send anything. Even if it's apologetic, he may interpret it the wrong way. I think the prof is on a power trip now, so it's best ignore him and let him get over it.
