Don't quote me on this, but I think something is wrong. :frown:
Seriously, computer power supplies all put out DC voltages up to 12 Volts DC, which is used for fans and for hard drive motors. Anything close to 250 Volts would likely instantly melt the fan motor as well as the hard drive motor, and probably other things, too.
Where are you getting these voltage measurements from? As already noted, we need a lot more details and history, please.
