My first Breathalyzer experience

So I'm at a friends birthday party in a dorm room. 15-20 people in 2 x 2 square foot area. Loud music, with bass, people screaming, you know...

*Knock Knock*

Person peeps thru door peep hole...

"COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS!"'

Few kids got out the window, but I decided to just stick it out since I just got to the party and had lil to drink.

I don't know what I blew, but the officer tried to trick me. That clever bastard.
With a shocked tone he was like, "HOW MUCH DID YOU DRINK?!?!"
I was like "...just a sip."
"Ok. You check out.

The cops were funny too. As we were in the hallway, they went into the room and they pulled out the bottles of liquor. They made snide coments like:

"Hey, it's my best friend Jose!!" (Jose Cuervo)
and
"Oh man, I just know this WAS a fun party. Wasn't?"

It was a fun experience. I kept the blower thingy as souvineer.

Overall, I rate it a 9.5/10.

Lookin' forward to it again!

Also, sound like a fight/small riot outside.

Well... the cops were here two weekends ago and I don't think it really changed anything. It tends to calm down about half an hour after the big crowds get back, I'm just going to wait it out.

Oh, and our housefellow (RA) is the worst one I've ever seen. She's never here and does absolutely nothing against noise/drinking/pot smoking.

Two weekends ago? I dealt with so many noise complaints in the dorms it was kinda crazy. I wouldn't feel too guilty about complaining, it IS what they get paid to do.

That's too bad your RA sucks. I tried to be a good one, myself.

i was told that if u take large breathes right before u take the test..
and let it rest for a minute or two
then take the test
if you didn't drink TOO much, you could fool it..

Surprisingly, only 3 people got the MIP's. They were the ones who blew over the limit. Those 3 were in the .09-.1 range. 5-6 Other's had .8, but they let them go. Weiiird.

Ha, we used to run a small bar from under my bed in the dorms (well not that small 30+ bottles of top shelf) The fact that I had a 12" 200 watt sub and surround sound made me a popular target for the police. I always thanked them for their concern and sent them on their way, no way would I ever take a breathalyzer in my own residence. I got a lot of noise violations, but eventually had those taken care of. Dorm parties are a bad idea lol.

To test for underage drinking, they cannot compel you to take it though, it is your choice.

I think it depends on the situations and different state and local laws. They probably have some probable cause to request any minors there to take a breathalyzer.

If an adult they probably wouldn'ty bother.

They may be able to enter the residence if there is a lot of noise and they are there on a noise complaint and no one answers. Usually they will try to go around to the back or just wait for some dumb drunk to let them in.

Where's Bradruth and the rest of the ATOT law enforcement posse?

If you don't answer, they will get the hall director or the Resident Life director to open the door. They breathalyzed cause we were minors. I was at the same party as xEDIT409. Either we take the breathalyzer or we get fined.
