holy shit dude, good job you are ripped now with size as well. i don't think i could ever (as in, don't want to put in the dedication and discipline) get that lean. i used to be ripped like that but i was like 160lbs, and it was nearly 10 years ago. now i usually fluctuate around 195-200 when i'm "ripped", as in, when i am about as cut as i want to be. now that it's getting cold i'm back on my bulking phase and eating whatever i want and i love it!

congrats though man, you are one of the people i know on these forums who has been consistent for years, and it shows.

Cheers. Once I made the decision to cut I just grinded it out week by week. For sure dieting down was a huge change as I have never dieted down.

Sitting around 85-86 is much easier than sub 84kg. The extra 2kg means I can be a lot more free with my eating. I had some chips and rice today and I'm having some more chips now lol. Joints feel better as well which is good. Feels good to eat more freely as you can imagine! I'm going to have a pizza on Monday and some ice cream

Beastly my Asian brother. Great job!

:thumbsup;

Yeah, it's pretty crazy how tough it can be to gain/lose even just 5 lbs once you've found your weight "sweet spot," and how much of a difference those 5 lbs can make in how you feel.

I agree with everyone else, though--great job. And hey, at least now you know how it feels to walk around at that weight.

Yes I'm sure you dropping 15-20lbs will make a huge difference on what you look like. A lean 100kg is a pretty f0cking big dude man!

86.8 this morning. Did my comp at 85kg yesterday. First weigh in was 85.070kg. 70g over weight, had to squeeze out some wee in 15min then re weigh in.

I've had 2 apples and a banana. I would never do this when I was dieting. I would have one apple tops. Looking forward to strength and size gains

That's pure madness. I've never actually attempted that power lift before. The first one is called a snatch correct? And the last is the jerk? All I really ever do is just regular cleans, besides squats and DL's D:

Edit: Technically I do jerks.. I just start from the front squat position ever time.. I don't clean it first. I can't really power lift truly in my gym because it's all steel plates :-/

The first lift is called a Snatch, wide grip, from the floor to over head in one movement.

The second lift is the Clean and Jerk. Clean is from the floor to shoulders. Jerk from shoulders to over head.

Cleans are a great exercise. Keep at it.

I've been competing for a long time. 14yrs and at least 50 competitions in that time frame so I have a lot of experience.

Will I get much less benefit out of doing hang cleans, as opposed to the full clean starting on the floor?

Do them from the floor. You learn to do the full lift and unless you have a very specific reason, no real reason to not learn the lift from the floor IMO.

Ah i see.. I generally just start from the hang. Maybe that's why I can only do about 95lb D:

I also have bad form still. My wrists hurt because I don't end up with my elbows point forward.. They still point down so all the weight gets loaded onto my wrists instead of resting on my delts.

Advice? I think it's partly due to tight forearms so it hurts to have them stretched so far.

Stretch out your wrists GENTLY, elbows and shoulders. They are tight and you have ignored stretching them properly, this is why you can't rack a clean properly. Work at it and you will be able to do so.

Olympic lifts are fun to learn. Just be patient and stick at them.

Ive never been able to get strict enough on my diet to get cut like this. Over the last month though I have started to get some definition that Ive never had before. I just need to tell myself that since I train for it I need to eat for it also.

For what it's worth, Rippetoe recommends Power Cleans (for beginners).

More so because it's easier to teach the Power Clean than to full clean without a coach.

Nice physique!
Good for you. How much time per week do you think is required to maintain that kind of tone? I'd say about 10 hours a week at the gym?

Indeed. It's about goals and focus. I never cared to look lean so I didn't bother. But yeah just losing 1lb a week or so for a 4-6 weeks makes a huge different on a physique that is muscular to start with.

Maintaining the shape is about diet and less about training. The training just maintains muscle mass if you are at calorie deficit.

As for training it's much easier to maintain a physique once you are there. I could probably do it on 3hrs a week but I choose to spend longer in the gym as I coach people in weighlifting. I don't watch much tv or go out dirnking often. I have loads of mates and we all train and compete so it is much easier for me to maintain a physique like this.

I was a skinny kid so that would be why I have small hips. No pictures at 100kg, but here is a video of me around about that.

96.35kg so at least 98kg with food and water.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtel2JGNEXTciKcsemCnXfw

The most I ever weighed in the morning was 99kg. I couldn't weigh more and after getting to 99kg from 93kg I was so bored from eating.

My weights been at 90.5kg for about 6-7 weeks now.

I did 3-4months of swimming last year for my life guarding qualifications. I wasn't a very good swimmer at the start. I could swim but I would have failed the swimming tests without the practice. I swam a 30s 25M before I started my swim training. Your suppose to do a sub 60s for 50M if you want to be able to do the timed saves.

I also have no buoyancy in water due to my dense bones. I literally sink in water with lungful of air. No one believes me until I show them or until they have to try and rescue me lol.
