While I like the idea of a dashcam, I haven't been able to make out license plate numbers on any I have seen. (even the non-moving car directly in front of you)

If that car had instead, caused an accident, would you have been able to get their license plate number from your footage?

Ya I'm not sure if you could take a snapshot and 'zoom/enhance' to get the plate number. I was trying to call and give the plate number/location to Highway Patrol, but they had better things to do than answer the phone... like write speeding tickets and fill up on donuts.

Same in Maryland and for good reason its illegal. Trying to make eye contact with someone at an intersection with the dark shading is impossible and dangerous.

Oh I know WHY its illegal, my problem is since that law is never enforced it seems like we're asking for more problems.

Me thinks drivers were staying left because the car on the right kept brake-checking them and trying to cause an accident. Also, driver on the right could have been intentionally blocking the lead driver in the left lane from moving over and threw the drink after getting frustrated while waiting for a response.

i was in florida last week and was surprised how shitty the drivers are down there. i live around DC and we clearly have the worst drivers in the country around here, but holy shit the drivers in florida are terrible and have a lot of the same bad habits.

i actually almost got run over by some old bitch in a publix parking lot too. i was walking to the store and she was just slowly turning right into a parking spot that i was clearly walking infront of and she even slowed down when she saw me.

but then she kind of started acting as though i wasn't there. as i had to literally jump out of the way to not get hit by her as she turned into the spot, i said to her with her window rolled down "what the fuck?" and she said "sorry i didn't see you."

it was some old bitch probably like 55 or so, and she was probably hammered even though it was 9am in the morning on a wednesday. i mean it was the keys and i was headed there to get beer, so i think it is a real possibility.

because it's hot as fuck and tint makes your car a lot cooler when you get in it after it's been baking in 100 degree temps all day.

Based on the responses I've seen here for several videos, I don't think anyone here actually know what tailgating is.

There's some malice intent associated with tailgating. The OP just happened to get close since the rest of traffic was moving faster but he was blocked from the right lane by a truck. He was moving up yes but it wasn't with the intent to tailgate, it was to ultimately move over.

True tailgating you would not even see the bumpers anymore.

Yes. The a-hole on the right was originally in the left lane brake checking everyone. He then got in the right and started doing the same, so everyone went left. He then sped up to get next to the guy in the video (who was not one of the people getting brake checked - just some unsuspecting vehicle) and pelt him with that bottle of whatever. He then took off at about 100 mph.
