I just got one for Christmas for $140+shipping, so this looks like a hot (but too late) deal to me.

That's too bad, but I know how you feel; I used to buy cheap cases too. I've been building PCs since 1993, and this is the best case I've ever used. It has all the features I liked about the Antec Ninehundred and it has all the improvements I had to customize my Antec to get (sturdier feet, bottom intake for PSU, hidden cables, etc..). The built in fan speed & lighting controler, and dust shields, are just icing on the cake, and the built in support for 240mm radiators is tempting me to expand my H2O setup. It's a Future Proof Case IMHO.

That's still $50 cheaper than NewEgg: $139.99 + 9.99 shipping.

That would be for a new one, not one that has been used and returned by someone. Vendors accept them back from customers and ship them back to the manufacturer. Then the manufacturer sticks them into non retail boxes and sells them as refurbs. That is what refurb cases are if you're not familiar with the concept. They may have scratches, dents, missing parts, etc.

30% of cases i bought came broke
Then i read about double boxes for 10buks more.
Twice I got a open box ps with a cheap ps in it.
People switch the case ps with the 150. ps they also bought.
I would buy a cheap case if shipping was fairly close.
The only thing i wouldnt buy is open box viedo card
Bought six good open box cpus over the years.

People are probably spoiled by that $100 case/mouse deal a few months back that I nearly pulled the trigger on.
Decent price, risk of refurb vs saving a little money, depends on the buyer.

I did pull the trigger on this sniper case and a free CM Storm Sentinel Advance mouse ($70 value) for $100 + FS back then. Great case, Great mouse and great price.
