Alright guys, I've OC'd my system a bit. I'm not trying to go crazy here, as I'm just using an air cooling method, but I figured I'd try to squeeze out a few more mhz.

Epox 9NPAJ Nforce 4 board
A64 3200 Venice Core
1GB Corsair Value

Right now it's running stable at 2.3Ghz
Vcore is running anywhere from 1.549 - 1.559
Chipset is set on 1.7
Dimm is set on 2.9

Do these values look safe? My system is running 33 C, CPU running at 40 C (according to the epox diagnostic tool).

Why is your vcore so high with such a low OC? You probably don't even need to go above default if youre ocing so little. Same with ram. 2.9v actually isn't safe at all for most modules. 2.85 max unless your dimms specifically say it can go higher. Also don't set your ram at 100mhz, unless youre just seeing how high the cpu can go. Did you do the basics like lower HTT multiplier, lock pci freq, etc?

Well...I don't know what I'm doing wrong, because I'm not having much luck if I keep my ram at 200. Right now I'm running:

2.2 Ghz
Ram at 200mhz
VCore - 1.475
Chipset - 1.6
DIMM - 2.8

What is a good mix? Should I try to get as much GHz as possible, sacrificing Ram speed? Or should I max my ram at 200 and just try to go as high as possible on my GHz after that? I read that stickied guide, but I get kinda lost when I get to the max mem section.

Try bumping the RAM speed down to 166. Should be in the Advanced Features menu in the BIOS.

not bad....1st time....but I think the Vcore and VDimm should be lower.....

Too much voltage may not always be the answer for a stable PC...instead causing too much heat.......

if your not comfortable messing with your ram you can just drop your htt multi to x4,set your ram multi to 166,and set your mhz to 240 on the x10 multi.that will give you 2.4gig leaving your ram at stock, you should be ok on stock vcore.if it fails prime within 10mins up the vcore a little then run prime overnight for stability,im new to overclocking so there are alot of members who know far more then me.you asked for some advice so im not sure why some posters where taking the p1ss
