My First Patch Panel

I am about to embark on my first patch panel installation and would like as much advice as possible.

I have been trawling the net for pin outs for the patch panel and wall boxes etc and colour but so far to no avail.

If anyone could steer me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Currently i have the cabinet, panel and switch are all in place just no runs back to them. i have all the tools i think so at least i have a punchdown, snips,strips and crimper cable etc i just need a guide on how to do it

if you can let me know what i am in for and any "gotchas" to watch out for please

anyways.

panel colours and match the same in the wall drops

1 - orange/white
2 - orange
3 - green/white *
4 - blue
5 - blue/white
6 - green *
7 - brown/white
8 - brown

if the wires you buy are different colours then just make sure you seperate pins 3 and 6 as i have done in my example.

dont let any single run go over 100 metres and stay away from flourecent lights if you can.

Fuzznuts, most patch panels' 110 blocks and most wall jacks' 100 blocks are laid out in colors, not in pin numbers, so you connect the orange/white wire to the block with a orange/white sticker underneath, and so on. It's very very simple.

Yeah so i see

however everywhere i look is touting 568A and 568B is there any advatnage with on over the other?

Im not sure which one to choose both my wall blocks and panels are marked to use either so just wondering is one of them better?
