My first quadcopter video of a paragliding spot in Michigan

This is what is like to paraglide over GreenPoint - a free-flying spot located in northwest corner of Michigan. It is my favorite place for flying, adventures, or just relaxing and "para waiting" with friends. The video is shot with DJI Phantom 2 vision plus quadcopter. This is a fantastic toy; very easy to fly. More to come. Please enjoy in full screen and in the "HD" resolution.

its the vision 2 plus...all integrated. Great gimbal. The camera isn't as good as the gopro but "close enough" IMO. I can setup the entire thing in less than 5 minutes.

It's nicely done and I like the choice of music. For me, the number of fades in the first few shots was distracting. They work as transitions between scenes, but seem discontinuous when they feel like they interrupt what should be a longer shot. Were you having some problems?

The first scene got interrupted few times by my friends trying to find out what I am doing...and caused jerkiness here and there. Ill shoot the next vid by myself in peace (of a similar bluff 4 miles to the south called "Arcadia" - visible at 5:43 in the right corner)

I want a ride in one of them up there. Looked awesome. I was under the impression I'd be seeing paragliders or handgliders, but nonetheless, those are spectacular views.

I am going to park the drone in the air when its flyable so that the pg/hg passes are visible and possibly the pilots will fly over close to the drone.

I met someone using one of these while mtn biking. He was wearing some virtual reality looking goggles while controlling the phantom so he can see what the gopro sees. These suckers go really far! I then looked at the video he shot later in the day and was blown away. I would pay to have someone shoot my downhill runs like this lol

I asked him how hard it was to control. He said it takes alot of practice and said i would probably crash my first one (he crashed his). At $1k per drone, i think ill pass...lol

Sadly, not much.

Edit: my setup was abt $1600.00 with 2 extra batteries. It flies about 17 minutes on a single battery. Range: 1500 ft radius - at least.
