At 16, if the kid lives in an upper class neighborhood, he shouldn't go to juvey. He'll probably get put on probation, probably will be allowed to do X amount of community service to erase any potential felonies and have it put down as a misdemeanor.

Honestly, unless you're anti social, you should have no problem telling a trusted health/p.e. instructor, I know I had several who I could go to--none of my friends ever did roids, but I'd know I could talk to them about it.

Getting him help before he has serious side effects is better than being there when his body starts to have problems. And ruining a relationship is sometimes better than watching someone throw away part of their life.

Just going to requote these posts for emphasis.

Steroids can be used responsibly for a good effect. A 16 year old even if he uses them 100% to the letter the way he should still can screw himself up because they will mess with his growth. If he doesn't know this then it's a safe bet that he's done little to no research on steroid useage and will mess it up other ways.

For my part, I would never want to be friends with someone that would involve themselves in my life to that extent, and be so arrogant as to think they knew what was best for me. Lots of misinformed people here but most people have the main points right.

1st, it's obvious that 16 is WAY too young to touch any sort of pro-hormone or steroid. It's almost pointless anyway b/c at that age you testosterone production should be really high anyway.

2nd, if he absolutely insists on it, please tell him to do some research to minimize the effects. If it's an oral (or any steroid really) he should get himself some cycle support supplements. Without you could experience liver damage, hair loss, and gyno (aka bitch tits).

Does he have a Post Cycle Therapy stack in order to restart his natural testosterone production? If not, he'll basically lose most of his gains anyway and possibly get woman boobs b/c he estrogen will be much higher than his natural testosterone production. If you take a hardcore Pro-hormone you might even need to get into things like a SERM (example: Nolvadex or Clomid), but you need a perscription to get it, unless you research "rat serm".

In short, don't do it at such a young age, if you insist, get some cycle support (Anabolic Innovations makes a product called "Cycle Support" that is very popular), and get a post cycle therapy in order to boost natural testosterone production.

So what? You base your decision on what behavior is acceptable on what is legal? That's just a terrible outlook. Do you think Martin Luther King was an asshat for breaking Jim Crow laws? Learn to think for yourself and stop appealing to authority.

Why would you continue to be around someone that was using alcohol? Legal or not, it is a drug, and that seems to be your only criterea, unless you just don't want to be around anyone who's doing anything illegal.

And yeah, a lot of people use cocaine that you don't know about. In fact, you probably know some of them. Why do you think it can't be covered up? Do you know anything about these substances? There are lots of people that use heroin as a recreational substance. Do you think they tell all their friends about it?

As for the 16 year old in question, I don't know enough about steroids to have an opinion here. But I'm also not pretending that I do.
