A coworker years ago in NY had the cutest baby I have ever seen to this date. Only 4 months old, had an adorable face, well proportioned head, and sharp megan fox-type eyes.

Poor girl probably started looking like her parents after a year or two, but atleast had a few good months.

Nah, I wouldn't want unnecessary one, doctors get too c-section happy because they don't have to go to the hospital in the middle of the night. It's a lot more major of a surgery that is not always needed. If I ever need one, then sure.

Agreed. Newborns look pretty scary. Movies and TV almost always use babies that are at least 6 months old for those newborn shots you see.

Explain why I think some of my friends' babies aren't ugly at all? There's normal looking, then there's just freaky looking, there are both. It doesn't have to be cute vs. ugly.

BTW, I think the whole vaginal birth thing shapes the baby's skull, not the face necessarily. And C-section babies aren't immune to the freakish look so I'm not sure why that's a factor. Babies need more fat in their face before they begin to look cute.

nah, my friends' baby is at about the 6 month mark and I still think she's damn ugly. lol.

They unsquish and cuten up pretty quick though.

My daughter was stuck in the birth canal for about 2 hours, so when she came out she had a reeeeally elongated head. Made her look like an Egyptian hieroglyph.

My son popped right out (even though he weighted 2 lbs more), so he was pretty round but still had a squished face.

There's some poor kids that look like they went through a meat grinder on the way out. They have forcep scars, smashed heads, eyes bugging out, wrinked up faces, ect.

Other's come out pretty "normal" looking. Our daughter was born natural...but she was a runt (under 5 pounds) so she wasn't putting up much of a fight on the way out. Parent or not, she's one of the cuter looking newborns I've seen.
