if he has a cellphone you should post the # and provider, then someone here who either works with that provider or knows someone who does can maybe lookup the times of his calls and the locations as well who the calls were to. probably illegal for a regular employee to do, but oh well.

I will. My friend is up in Virginia right now, so I can only get updates when he has time to talk on the phone. Apparently, the door to his brother's hotel room was left open and all his clothes are still hanging up, along with his suitcase still being there. The only thing gone is the rental car.

The cell phone companies will not ping a cell phone unless it is an emergency. Such as the missing person is also suicidal, has threatened the public AND and the same time as the means to inflict harm upon others, or is ordered to ping it by a court. Even then, it only hits the closest cell phone tower that person is using. That being said, if a person wants to fall off the grid, they can fairly easily.

If he wanted to fall off the grid, this man will only be found through random chance of a police agency running into him and running his name through our databases to find that he is "missing." Should that happen, the person is simply removed from the system and let on his marry way if he doesn't want to return home.

If that's not the case...well, I'm sure you can imagine.

Can the wife request that a call history on the phone be ordered asap? If her name is on it or at least being the spouse maybe they can do that, it's on a normal phone bill anyways. If not then the police/court officials should be able to. Also credit card usage history. Have the wife call the credit card companies and see if there has been activity in the days missing and maybe even where and what it was used for. Also another thing is that some rental cars have an EZ pass system. That will tell you where the car went through toll roads/bridges/tunnels. I'm not sure if you can or how to obtain one without a court order though.

Hey guys. I've been working really hard all day, so I haven't had time to come on here and post. I don't know the full extent of the situation as of now, but Brock called me and let me know that they found Rusty in North Carolina last night. I don't know why he was there or the circumstances, but he's in good condition. Once I get done here at work I'm going to call Brock and try to find out some more details on the situation.

Thank you for everything you guys have done. It always makes me smile to see a group of strangers pull together to help out.
