i'm the same way for the most part, although i did really enjoy Gun (which i played and finished just recently) and now Titan Quest has me going a bit, but i think its quickly running out of steam.

are you serious? everyone says its the best game ever. whenever someone asks what new game they should play, oblivion is the 1st reply and follows in many other replies.

the game isn't that great. i think people were so hyped up for it when it was first announced and stuff, that everyone just doesn't want to admit they were wrong.

The game is like a singleplayer MMORPG, which is appealing because you don't have to deal with the extra ****** that comes with playing an MMORPG. I don't know anyone who honestly believes it's the best game ever. There have been countless best game ever polls on ATOT and I don't remember Oblivion even coming close.

However, I will admit that it's probably the only new game out that's worth playing. You may not like it, but what new game beats it? The market is in a bad slump right now.

The new trend is in adult sim/action gaming. Games like the Sims, Vice City (and San Andreas) are just the beginning of what i see a genre becoming more reality-based.
