My GF is currently sick, how do I keep from getting sick?

I work at a job that is important for me to NEVER be sick. Right now my GF has the lye in bed all day type sick. I HIGHLY do not want to get it. We live togther, and share a bed together. What is the best way to NOT catch her cold?

What? Cough syrup is a symptomatic medicine, It doesen't help prevent or even help get rid of anything. It just makes the symptoms more bearable until it goes away by itself. Actually, most of our "modern medicine" works like this.

Drink one or two of the tropical flavored(milky white) SoBe drinks a day. They're really good, and they contain vitamin C and echinecea.

That's the best advice anyone can give you. Echinecea really helps a lot, along with the vitamin C. Taking a multivitamin wouldn't hurt either.

I have kept myself from getting sick mant times this way when my girlfriend was sick, even while kissing and everything. Of course, it didn't always work.. I would say maybe 65%.

My wife and I rarely get sick at the same time. I can be sick as a dog, and she won't catch whatever bug it might be, and vice versa.

Yup, thats what I do.

Well if she's showing symptoms then she's already past the most contagious stage.
Expect to be sick within a week.

How can you reduce this? Few things.

- Echinacea. This panacea has yet to be clinically proven but I, along with many others, swear by it. Buy a bottle of this and down 6-12 tablets a day for a week. I do it every time I feel a cold or flu coming on, and guess what? I haven't been sick in 18 months.

- Oscillococcinum. This you buy at any drugstore. It comes in 3 capsules that you down every few hours and it supposed to fight off the flu. It supposedly works but I've never used it.

- Lots of rest, lots of fluids. Being dehydrated, stressed, and tired will weaken your immune system and make you more susceptible to getting sick. It will also delay your recovery if you already are sick.

yeah wear a face mask, and buy several cans of lysol disenfectant. any thing that she sneezes at, coughs on, breathes on, or touches, SPRAY.

naturally don't sleep in/near her and take vitamin c tablets and lots of water.

2. Wash anything she has handled,
3. No french kissing or other kinds of exchange of bodily fluids.

I'd have to agree with the you probably have it already. When the GF was sick, I took care of her and the day she felt better, I could barely breath. If you go another few days with nothin, then you don't have it and probably won't get it
