If all you do is give and all she does is take, then lose her because she is a gold digger. I understand that at the moment, she has nothing of monetary value to give you. How about other things she can give you that doesn't cost her any money? Is she generous with those kinds of gifts? There in lies your answer. That is all.

I just bought a 5G iPod and I have a 3G left over from an RMA (battery went loco).
My GF's birthday is in 2 weeks and she has repeatedly asked for the iPod. We've only been dating a month. I like the girl, but she's constantly asking for stuff. She asks for a lift home from work almost every day, and whenever we go out she asks me to buy her stuff whether it be food or something at the store we're in.
My question is: is this dump-worthy? She has no money at the moment and I pay for just about everything. It's only money, but she comes across as greedy and I'm concerned that if I were ever with her long term she would milk me dry.
Also, how much is a 10GB 3G iPod worth in absolute new/mint condition?

I think that's too big of a gift to ask for, especially just after a month of dating.
What if I make it a birthday/xmas combo present? She commutes 2 hours to work; I feel bad for her and I can see why she would want one.
I was unemployed and broke when I met her by the way.

sounds like a digger to me. What car do you drive?
LOL a '94 Saturn.
I do OK tho; I'm an architect. I just drive the Saturn cuz it was my graduation present, my mom gave it to me, and it runs great.
Whats the average starting wage for an architect. I was considering this career change
It depends. Usually 30K. I'm making considerably more than that and I've been at it for almost 4 years. We make around what engineers make, give or take. If you're really good and become famous you can make millions.
What are you doing now for a living?
Honestly, many architects are unhappy with how little they make. They want to make as much as doctors, but usually don't come close.

Ditch the broad.
I'm serious.
You can tell if you've got a keeper because she gives a lot, and asks for little in return except your companionship. A keeper is also one that YOU WANT to give gifts to, not one that ASKS YOU for gifts.
She just reeks of a materialistic gold-digging brat.

I just broke up w/ her. I'm not sure if this thread had anything to do with it. She just called me at 11:30pm from work, asked for a lift home, I said no, and she flipped. I have to work tomorrow morning at 8am and can't deal with her anymore. This happens all the time.
