I've driven fast cars, I just don't expect a Camry to go as fast as those. But I still think that its ok and better then some of the other POS's on the road. It's speed is nothing to laugh at, look at some other 0-60's then laff.

'00. Trust me, I tried pushing it. Engine just made some racket and nothing happened. My Accord was better even before the swap. Oddly enough my gf used to have Sentra with a 1.6. Even that thing felt faster on the butt dyno even though I'm sure it has to be slower.

And MasterAndCommander, I'm sure the V6 is a huge improvement over the anemic 4 banger it comes with standard.

I have a V-6 Camry. I wouldn't drive a four cylinder unless it was super/turbo charged and even then.

Have you seen a V6 Camry with a 5-speed in the last 10 years? That should have been clue number 1:roll:

For open track days and autocrossing the Miata is great fun... just don't ask it to accelerate.

Also, if you think the RX8 is a manly car then I need to see your metrosexual card for proper clearance to say that.

A sports car is what you make of it... my Talon is a "girly" car, yet it's fast enough to eat most exotics for breakfast. Seeing the dumbfounded looks of rich bastards as their new toys get dusted by this girly looking black coupe is freaking fun as hell. Dang, gotta finish my friggin rebuild.

At least the OP didn't have to worry about a gf in this station wagon.

Talk about being eaten for breakfast... imagine the look on a Ferrari owner's face when they see a soccer dad fly by in that. Or a Vette or whatnot...
