My Glaciator never came :(

When the projected arrival date for my Glaciator came and went, I got a little nervous and checked UPS' tracking site. According to them, the shipment was paid for but they never received the package to be shipped!

I wrote Andy Lemont and was told that the manufacturer ran out of sinks and had already paid the manifest... so the solution was that said mfg had shipped one out that day. No info as to the shipping method though.

So the question is in light of all the mixed, and highly controversial coverage it has received, should I just "cancel" my order now that I'm looking at another week without? At this point, I'd much rather just plop down $50 (SK6) or $80 (MC462) and have a sink in my hands much faster.

I would wait if I were you the cooler rocks it blows away my Alpha pal 6035 with a YStech fan also it makes the same amount of noise as the YStech fan. I dont now how much noise the SK6 makes but most of the high performance coolers use those delta 7000rpm fans and they sound like hair dryers.

My FOP38 sounds like a maniacal dust buster, but then again I've gotten used to it over time.

I also have five 80mm and one 92mm case fans (unknown rpm, cfm or db), so that probably helps cover a bit of the overall aural torrent.

I'm just worried... the negative reviews *appear* to be overwhelming the positive ones, of course the negative reviewers could just be that much more vehement. Quite understandable when you're spending $40+ on what may be an overhyped piece of crap.

I can understand that over reliance on MBM to judge the Glactiator is unwise, but real world results truly speak for themselves... and the number of people who are not just subjectively running "hotter" but also experiencing less overclockability and more system instability is making me quite nervous.

I got a response back from Andy Lemont last night after requesting my order be cancelled. He apologized for the delays and told me to refuse the UPS dropoff.

Quite classy.
