I hate to be an ass, but the next person that posts about their "home theater" and starts off with anything less than a 40" television should be banned, straight up, no questions asked. Just because you have surround sound speakers and a television in the middle of it all doesn't mean you have a "home theater," it means you have a place to watch TV in your house. </rant>
the-a-ter n. - A building, room, or outdoor structure for the presentation of plays, films, or other dramatic performances.
Home theater has nothing to do with size. If he wants to call it that get off his back.
Back on topic, you should have still got a 4:3 HDTV. I have a 27" and it looks good with regular cable, but when I feed it OTA HD signals or 480p for DVDs it looks awesome. Yeah I have little black bars on the top and bottom but who cares. It still looks great, and regular cable doesn't look like ass.
4:3 HDTV? Hmm...hadn't thought of that. At any rate, I don't want to pay the extra $15 a month or whatever or the 7 or 8 channels they offer, lol. Regular cable really looks just as good as a non-HDTV on yours?
I watch stuff in HD because..well...it's in HD and looks purty. Who cares what it's about. The general consensus is that if you have HD content available, you will probably watch it even if it's a sucky show.
