my i5-2500K idles at 1.6GHz @ 0.7V under a Noctua NH-C14 with 2 stock Notua 140mm fans.
this morning i check my Real Temp to see my idle temps and:

the high Load temps are because i'm still trying to lower my Load Voltage which is at 1.32V for 4.4GHz.

i recall IDC saying that the thermal sensors on the CPU are less accurate the colder it is. is that right? can anyone explain why?

anyway, my GTX680 (reference) is sitting idle at 25C partly because i have these babies:

twin full metal 120mm fans sitting right on top of the video card and the blower sucks cold air coming from floor height. also, these fans keep my case relatively dust-free due to the pressure they create inside the case.

they are running almost non-stop (externally powered) in my case for 13 years now

just thought i should share.

About the same as mine. Good to see I'm not the only one sleeping with the window open.

I once had a temp alarm go off on motherboard monitor because it assumed the sensor was broken when it read -1C.

It was broken.

Nope. Around this time I discovered the convenience of being able to just leave the groceries on the counter after shopping instead of going through them.

Protip: egg whites freeze long before the yolks, which is cool because then you can crack the whites to make yolk omeletes. Unfortunately, the shell bursts when this happens, so if you let the white re-thaw you'll have a big mess.
