I just talked to my sister in the same town and she said pretty much the entire town is without electricity - unless they have backup power. So no hotels, health clubs, etc. The hospital got power restored last night and the water treatment plant has power. We're talking hundreds of thousands of people without power in N. AL. She said the TVA was shooting for Monday night to get most restored in Huntsville. At least she had no damage to her home.

We do to. I live out in the countryside, and without power, the well doesn't run, and we have zero water. I have a backup generator that runs everything in the house except the A/C, and enough fuel to run it for about 2 weeks.....

I have a secondary well for when the SHTF, and a hand pump that requires no power, and 2 strong sons to pump that well :thumbsup:

When we and pretty much the whole midwest were without power for 3 days, I told the wife, "I've got a full tank of gas and that'll get me far enough to where they have power and then once I get another full tank that'll get me to where someone has a generator for sale. I'll see you tomorrow or later tonight with a generator."
