I feel the same way about so many things there, but we cant have everything in life, we must take what we can get and give what we can give and thats it.

You are not alone...
Everyone has hurdles to overcome, but they are best tackled one at a time.
If you can't overcome them, you need to learn to deal with them.
Believe me, I am not the perfect person either, but I am happy with that.
I have learned that you need to live your own life, not the life you are expected to live. Be happy with whatever you do. Life is enjoyable whatever the circumstance IMO. Life is a rollercoaster, the highs are just as fulfilling as the lows.
I realise that emotions are very unpredictable and can be unexplainable. That's what I love about them...
It's good to see that you are thinking about all of these things. You will become a better person because of it.

Interesting post, at 17 you have only just started the trials and tribulations we know as life. Our lives are not perfectly ordered nor is life fair. We all must learn to live with the hand we are dealt, just make the best of it. Seems to me you are off to a good start, awareness is half the battle. Be patient with your father, he cares, perhaps to much. He will not always be there so appreicate him while you have him. Enjoy the last days of your childhood as they overlap your first days of audulthood. The next few years can be the freest of your life. Open your self to the possibilities and live them with the awareness that they will not last forever. Just remember that you are young, very young with your life ahead of you. Decisions that you make now can resonate through out your life, so while you should enjoy the next few years, do not do any thing to stupid. Remember you are young, very young. Enjoy

I suggest getting some counseling or therapy. Perhaps writing (as you have already done) could be some sort of therapy for you.

when I was your age, I was almost exactly like all that except that I didn't drive, had no gf (got rejected twice, in fact) and my father wasn't too controlling. I was pretty mellow for a while and then came the blessed institution called College *angels singing*! It allowed me start over. I don't know if you're in college now, Bimmer318, but if you put some effort into it, you can sooo change your life for the better. I become able to mold my life/choice of friends/attitude/personality the way I always wanted it to be. Find some nice people like yourself and become each others emotional support. When you feel that you're being used or controlled, you finally have the power to stand up and act on it. College life gives you power over so many aspects of your life.
And yeah, IMHO, suicide is stupid. Don't do that.
