^ That's because the Celeron is considerably faster.
Agreed. I would rather have the Haswell Celeron, than any FM1 or FM2 dual-core.
Or better still get a cheap A6/A8 quad core for FM1 or a cheap A8/A10 quad core for FM2 as an upgrade and it will be perfectly fine for general usage. Much cheaper than changing platforms IMHO.
"No heatsink or fan". How much for an FM1 HSF these days, waltchan, and why did you leave off that info? With shipping, heatsinks are generally like $8-10, so that increases the price quite a bit from $8.55 for the CPU alone.
You're talking a G3258 combo deal that has already been SOLD-OUT and Newegg has no plans to restock. This A4-3300 is available to everyone right now while supplies last. This $8 price competes with LGA775 with no heatsink as well, and there's no more room to depreciate further in price (maybe $5 three years later). And Newegg has a ShellShocker of a combo G3258 Haswell Pentium, and an Asus B85 board, for $99.99.

And where are you getting the cheap boards for them? (Edit: Found some.)
It has secure-boot feature in BIOS, that's enough to make it Windows 8 certified and Windows 10 as well if tested.Pimping the FM1...
Anyways, not a bad deal, but the listing for that mobo says nothing about Win10 certified, FYI. In contrast to your SD posting.

Already installed two, and all installed Windows 10 successfully with secure-boot, UEFI, AHCI, and everything. Boards were made in May 2013 manufactured date, one of the final-edition FM1s.You thinking it could / should be Win10 certified, does not make it so.
Oh nice, didn't know your three purchase in eBay's history was made by you. Let me know what you think of the board quality. It's a very-simple design, but at least they're brand new and unopened. Board only has USB 2.0 ports.Got my three FM1 ECS mobos, and waiting on the heatsinks. The CPUs came "postage due", thanks waltchan.

Of course, what do you expect. CPU depreciation hasn't hit for FM2 yet, so there's no fun in deals to be inspired. Motherboard prices are going to be the same, regardless of what socket.I didn't get a deal on the CPUs, though. I bought three A4-6300 Richland CPUs, for around $45 ea. Cheapest FM2 I could find new at the time.
Didn't read this part carefully. Generally, eBay sellers are responsible for "postage due," Buyers don't need to pay for it and you can ignore it entirely (USPS won't send you second notice). The CPUs came "postage due", thanks waltchan.

Funny, I ordered five, and they were shipped by FedEx ground. Not a single problem with postage due. How much was it? Sorry to hear you got unlucky. No, my options were to pay the postage due, in order to pick up the package, or send it back entirely.
Since I wanted my package, I paid it.

Oh yes, it was shipped in a Priority mail box alright, but it delivered to me via FedEx Ground. Please notify seller of this error they're making. How much the processor cost you now for each?Did they ship yours in a USPS Priority Mail box? They did mine - with a "First Class" pre-paid postage stick on it. Which, given the rules of USPS, is a definite NO-NO. If it's a Priority Mail box, it HAS to ship priority. So I had to pay the difference between the first-class postage, and what it would have cost to ship priority. Which wasn't much, but it was annoying, because I had to go the Post Office to pick up my package.
I got this at least three times in past, all ignored, nothing happens. It is NOT buyer's responsibility to pay extra on shipping on delivery when sellers mistakenly ship packages in wrong postage rate. USPS should pass the bill back to sender, not to recipient.Edit: I don't think that your suggestion to defraud the USPS is a good one. ("Ignore it entirely"). I try not to upset my local postal folks. They work hard, and I appreciate that they take time to help me.
