That is what "public health officials" have "concluded". I am not saying it is wrong. However, it does not give any basis on how they came about this conclusion or anything. You can't just look at once source and trust it. You can /yawn when you give me hard evidence and statistics that are from a credible source, not just posted on the internet.

Second hand smoke... okay, let's think about it. You're breathing in smoke, a substance which results from burning things. Regardless of what substance is being burned smoke is harmful to the lungs. Now add to that the fact that you are burning something which according to various research studies may or may not be a known carcinogen. Yeah, secondhand smoke is probably bad for you.

Regardless of that Secondhand smoke is just plain rude. It smells like ass. The last thing I want to come ambush me out of nowhere is the smell of burning ass.

That is what my 30 year old sister said at the rebellious age of 16~19.
She now smoke about 1/2 pack a day and has tried to quit about 4 times with out success.

Try to quit now before it too late, because smoking isn't cool, bad for you hearth & most guys find women that smoke are unattractive.

where the hell are you quoting "inconclusive" from? Phillip Morris probably threw that up on their webpage just to avoid another future onslaught of lawsuits. They do not provide any statistical evidence or information on how the study was conducted, how large the sample, etc.

not just medicare, even if it is private insurance, it still hits us all in the pocket. Blues, Aetna, whatever they all spread out the cost of this stuff so that it's paid for by those that are healthy.

no it's not hypocritical, as i have explained before (perhaps you missed it). she feels you shouldn't be smoking because it's bad for you. similarly, i bet she feels she shouldn't be smoking either. no hypocrisy. now, if she felt you shouldn't be smoking, but that it was okay for her to smoke, then she would be a hypocrite. but in all likelihood, she knows she shouldn't be smoking too.

and by the way, what difference does it make, even if she was a hypocrite? she's still right, focusing on this alleged hypocrisy is just silly and irrelevant.
