Dude got owned :Q
My mom works for a dentist. He's open from Monday to Thursday and closed on Friday. When he is closed, he puts his sign up on the front door from the inside (it's a glass door) that says "We're closed" and it has the office hours and all that jazz. Well, the regular UPS guy I guess READS the notice and just holds the package and delivers it on Monday like he should do (I think they have to attempt delivery even if they know that the business is closed on that day, but I could be wrong).
Well, last month, the regular UPS driver was off on vacation, so they had another driver fill in for his route. UPS was delivering some medical supplies to the office. Of course, the sign was up as usual. Office is closed. There were no cars in the parking lot as no one was there. Instead of taking the package back and attempting to redeliver on Monday, the driver FORGED my mom's boss's signature and left the package OUTSIDE the door on the ground (mind you, the dentist office is located on one of the busiest streets in town). It was left there all weekend. And as you might have guessed, someone most likely snatched it up.
My mom's boss gets to work on Monday and checks the tracking for his package and sees that "he" signed for it on Friday afternoon and calls UPS. They start a trace and and investigation. Find out today from UPS that they talked to the driver and he admitted to leaving the package and forging his name. Driver = FIRED.
Cliffs
1) Mom's boss orders some medical supplies
2) UPS driver leaves supplies outside the office even though office says it's closed and forges signature
3) UPS launches investigation
4) Driver = OWNED
I heard those guys get paid pretty well and get good benefits too:Q
