maybe it's your card but buy a different card and try it, if it does not work take the card back.

I just got the P95f+. I felt the same way at first, but messed with the settings and just seemed to get used to it. I quite like it now. Be sure not to use the ultrabright for normal surfing or text as it is very hard on the eyes.

That's why I got a LCD. But in some cases it does not really matter what monitor you have. I too get dizzy and sick as well when I'm glued to a PC monitor playing games or even surfing the Internet. I believe your question is better answered from a Doctor then a PC technician.

There *is* a difference between tubes and LCD's. I definitely am more comfortable with an LCD (want one again. sigh.)

My trinitron at home doesn't bother me at all at 85hz. The Poosonic I've got at work gives me a headache at 85hz or lower. So there's a difference between quality tubes and crap tubes as well.

Of course I've got an ATI 8500 at home, and a POS compaq with the Intel Extreme(ly crappy) Graphics.

Since you're not gaming, you may want to seriously consider an LCD screen....
I guarantee you will never have flicker problems or eyestrain again.

(And yes, I've read the article about 95% of users simply not knowing how to up refresh rates... I'd still take ZERO flicker over 100+ refresh rates.)

just so everyone can know the outcome of this...I RMA'd it. Called Dell, got shuffled around three times and was told to try restoring the factory settings. Did that with no change. So I called back, got shuffled around a couple more times till I found the right guy to talk to.

(this is the good part) I told my guy my story for the sixth time and he said, "ok, we'll send someone to pick it up; full refund." They paid shipping. Then I was like...

I was just going to return it and look at staples for a good deal but now I think I will buy another one from dell. I'm looking at the
NEC/MITSUBISHI MultiSync FE991SB 19" for $256
or
NEC/MITSUBISHI MultiSync FE990-BK for $230

What does everyone think about these?
