I have a 3 1/2 year old 17" Proview monitor and it smells like it's burning or something. It's that horrible "electric" burning smell that we're probably all familiar with... anyway, does this mean my monitor is about to die? The weird thing is, it's been perfect since the day I bought it, but over the weekend I built a new computer, hooked up the monitor to it, and it started doing weird things like shutting off when I would restart the computer and resetting the display settings. It's okay now, but now it just stinks. Any ideas? Could hooking it up to a different computer really affect it? Or is it just horrible timing? I _cannot_ afford $200 for a new monitor at the moment Thanks.
