My motherboard dead? Guess not *woohoo*

Its a Abit KT7 Raid that today locked up hard 3 times which is out of the ordinary. I rebooted the last time and it posts to the point where the memory test should start but it dosn't and it just sits there. Things I have done are switched HDs, swapped out ram, cleared cmos and swapped IDE channels for the HD. I can't even get to the bios to look there and it never even gets to the floppy to try a boot disk. Its dead isn't it?

Sounds like what my MSI K7T Pro2A started doing. sent it out RMA a couple weeks ago

Virge. = ) Virge... You sound like you don't know computers. Actually, it is your RAM. You probably need to clock back your mem timings because the RAM can't handle it. Load CMOS defaults? Does that work? Try some different RAM.

BTW what you been up to? I got a nice lil rig now virgie. 8K7A @166MHz FSB, 1.33AXIA Y @1494MHz, Corsair PC2400 CAS2 which is running at 166 CAS2. 771/1017 SiSoft Sandra memory score. And I still got my RAID, and a Promise Fasttrak 100 TX2 card.

I have to use my wifes login cause my email is now down..*grr* I did change ram (3 different sticks) and its kinda hard to load defaults when I can't even get into the BIOS :|. I cleared the CMOS but that was no help. Does anyone know how to go about RMA'ing a Abit motherboard? I'm sure some people in this forumn has some experience at that

I'm back. Friend told me to tear it down to the bare motherboard and build it back up. Thought he was crazy but I guess I'll never question him again. I almost wet my pants when it booted.
