it's surprisingly fun to drive compared to a manual tranny, and nothing like those 'sportmatic' trannies in the autos. the car bucks just the same if i don't shift or accelerate right, and i have to ease off the gas each shift for a smooth ride. plus there's 6 modes, each progressively more aggressive and a 'sport' button where all hell breaks loose. and paddle shifters means i can talk on the cell and shift at the same time.

You know Bangle designed the current, E46, 3-series and M3, right? For the most part I agree with you that most of his cars are pretty pug-fugly, though.

I was previously unaware. I pray that he did not design the E39? Not a huge fan of the 3 series all together, except for the 330ci and the m3.
