My sisters union did that to her.......... someone with a higher pay grade got bumped from her job so she bumped my sister from her job (thanks union).

So my sister had 3 choices:

1. Bump someone else from their job (which she did not want to do but would if she had to).
2. HR find her a job with similar pay grade (which she did but at 1 pay grade lower).
3. get laid off.

no, I used our office phone system. I don't know if they keep track of extension to extension calls but I would assume that they do.

It is such a crap situation to be in the middle of for sure. I feel for what your sister went through. I understand the fact that unions can help prevent employees from getting steam rollered by companies but at some point things went overboard.

no apology from her but things are a bit better. I sent a few of my ambassadors to smooth things over and she may have realized I had a bit more pull than she expected...I will talk to her boss next week when she gets back from vacation. I did talk to her about what we could do about her feeling of a lack of communication and why she felt that I was not following what I had agreed to do but we didn't reach the point of "oh my bad I forgot." I think she may be a little 'embarresed' for lack of a better word about the whole thing.

Still going to work on looking for new employment however. It will take too long for the natural progression of things to pan her out of the position.
