My sisters union did that to her.......... someone with a higher pay grade got bumped from her job so she bumped my sister from her job (thanks union).
So my sister had 3 choices:
1. Bump someone else from their job (which she did not want to do but would if she had to).
2. HR find her a job with similar pay grade (which she did but at 1 pay grade lower).
3. get laid off.
