hey just want to show my new 3dmark scores

i overclocked my radeon 9700 pro to 344/324
stock is 325/310

has anyone who has overclocked their card found that there wasn't much room to go higher??

does anyone have cooling suggestions that are relatively cheap (no h2o)?

3dmark2003 - 5403

yea for some reason i can't get my 9700pro to do any real overclock...

it might have something to do with everything else being overclocked like a slut.

Nice 2001 score but I got a 5470 on 2003. Strange, I didn't think a 9800 Pro would make that big of a difference.

thats a nice 03 score....i bet if you overclock your card you could possibly hit 6k

Yeah, my processor is 2ghz and I am happy with that. 9800 Pros are damn hot cards so I will probably not overclock it, ever. Why I am shocked is that my 2001 score was only 15350. You kicked my butt in that

2001se is very fsb hungry....

i bet your fsb is alot lower than mine cause with 2Ghz and a 9800 pro you should be whooping my ass.

also your memory might be a little slower.

you should definately overclock the 9800....radclocker is a great oc utility that isn't tacky at all...it just puts a tab in your control panel settings called "clock rate".

i went from 54** to 60** on 3dmark03 just by flashing my 9800np to a Pro bios.
the actual overclock was 3mhz on th memory.

before: (400/330)
after: (400/333)

I can no longer get an accurate 3dmark 2001 score. Last time I benched it I got like not even 13000 with my new rig where as before on my xp 2400 and asus I would ge around 17400. It also shows that I am running dx 8.1 when I am using 9b

Oh well....

Oh and Leeperpsu, get some memory heatsinks. That should allow you to go a little higher on the mem side.

My BBA Radeon 9700 Pro is also pretty limited as far as overclocking. I'm currently only running it at 344/330, and my 3DMark2001/2003 scores are only 16797/5298, but those scores were taken a few months ago with older drivers. Not sure if they made a difference, don't really care too since its just a synthetic benchmark.
