bump because I'm interested in this phone, but right now can't get it at a fair reduced price with the T-Mobile plan I want, fvcking vultures. How is it holding up for you OP? I've read on Howards that dust gets in the display very easily and annoys the crap out of people. How is it holding up for you after 3 months?

I looked at this phone when I was purchasing mine, but I got the e635 instead. It's smaller, and costs half as much. Plus they gave me an additional $50 off, so it was really cheap.

Same here but 512MB of memory and the camera is 2MP. SonyEricsson w800i.

My sister's boyfriend has one too, it's one of the most solid phones I've ever held. Great screen too. I may get one to supplement my MDA (BTW, my MDA with 2GB MiniSD > any phone listed here so far. )

I had the t809 for a week or so.

Couldn't use it. I don't mind sliders too much, but I don't like the way the t809 is designed.

it has that lip on the bottom. So couldn't push the slider up from the bottom. I had to grip the screen or that little tab they put on the front in order to slide it. That was a pain for me.

the features on the phone are great, I just wished I could slide it up by pushing on the bottom.

So i returned it and got a Samsung Z510 instead

I like the phone ... although I did find some things that were a little ... annoying such as having blue tooth capable but no voice command recognition. Also, I can't seem to find out how to move my phone contacts to my sim.

I also have no idea how to use the transflash memory card that it came with ... any help?

mp3s play fine. The slider takes a little getting used to (my first slider and i like it !)
I love the screen. High res LCD. Picture quality is ok but no flash is available.
How much is a 512mb card anyhow?

I don't like the flimsy plug covers and the small buttons (lucky i don't have fat fingers!)
Camera can't go silent !! wtf?

I know you guys mentioned better phones, but comparing prices... this can be had for $50 vs the others mentioned were $100 +


Anyhow if you anyone could tell me how to use the transflash card and accessing the phone through the usb port (my computer says drive is not accessible) i'd appreciate it. I skimmed the book but couldn't find instructions. My card doesn't seem to fit in the phone is it suppose to?

my cousin has that new samsung. i agree pretty cool phone.

i had a slvr l7 for a day too. the samsung is better. the slvr l7 , looks cool, but well... its a moto and the UI and a lot of the more advanced functions are completely non intuitive. not to mention the charger port location and some other things are completely stupid.

Yes, TMobile hasn't released their official ROM with the update that enables it, but there are other ROMs that have it. I'm running an iMate ROM with the MSFP.

PS requires Exchange 2003 SP2
