As for intending to kill people, yes, that is what it was originally designed for, but that doesn't mean it can't be used for non-violent recreational purposes, same as a bow and arrow, slingshot, or for that matter even a rock (i won't even get into weapons turned into legitimate sporting events, like the discus, javelin, and hammer throw). Those were all weapons of war for their age as well, but do you propose outlawing rocks because Og the caveman used them thousands of years ago in warfare, and you could just as easily use one to kill someone today?

I'm not Johnnie but my last three guns I didn't have any kind of waiting period or background check. I have a concealed carry permit so I just had to fill out a form and show them my ID.

Might be a background check/fee if you don't have a permit though.
What kind of glock you gettin?

I didn't buy my first AK-47 until renting one and finding out how much fun they can be to shoot.

Find an outdoor range that will let you have some good, safe fun. I like to setup several types of targets, a few apples and oranges, some soda cans, milk jugs filled with water, etc. Then just hold it at waist level and blast away. Silly and pointless perhaps, but a lot of fun.
