Wow, nice firearm! I'm not sure that I'd use something like that for, but I'll bet that it would scare the crap out of a home intruder!

the only reason you could possible want to own that are to kill people or to look "cool" by showing how you can kill people. There's no need for a weapon like that for any legitimate purpose, be it security, hunting, or target practice. if we applied our wonderful conservative logic to this situation, i have every right to walk into your house, put you in jail or just kill you, and confiscate your gun, because you have a weapon you shouldn't have, and you need to be disarmed.

edit: i thought of another reason to own one. if you suffer from sexual dysfunction and you can't jack off properly, this would be the next best thing to rocking your c@ck.

Thank you for telling us what the "legitimate use of a gun is". Exactly how many people are killed with assault rifles in the US every year?? How many gang bangers walk around carrying long guns?? I don't think you have a need for a car that can go over 55 miles an hour, or a computer faster than a PI 166. Come on now, don't you think you are being just a tad bit unreasonable? You would really flip out if you saw my personal collection.

Oh..so now this semi-auto .223 is somehow different from a Ruger Mini-14..just because it's a military weapon? Faulty logic..j00 r teh l0sar. Sorry.

What logic says that you can walk into any house and confiscate anything..or did you just make that up? Try that here, and expect some lead poisoning..whether it be in .22, .308, 12ga..whatever. Probably 12ga.

You obviously don't know what target practice or matches are about.

Seeing as how most interstates have limits of 70 MPH with traffic cruising at ~90 MPH, I have every need to have a car that can go more than 55 MPH. But my car can't do 150, and it doesn't need to. Just like people may have a good reason to own a handgun, shotgun, or rifle, but there is no need to own an assult rifle. Your computer analogy is pretty weird too. It would take me a week to render a video or audio file on a P166 (I know, I tried it once for fun). I use every last drop of speed I can get. In contrast, a standard rifle will put a bullet in a target just as well as an assult rifle, and for personal defense, a handgun is a better tool than an assult rifle. The only reason to own one is to kill large numbers of people in a short period of time, or to impress people with your ability to do that. And look at the responses: "boy i wouldn't want to mess with you" and crap like that. That's the exact reaction he was looking for. I bet his dick feels 5 inches longer already.

the same logic that says america can walk into iraq and confiscate anything, just because they have more firepower than they ought to.

Man, you just have all the answers don't you? If the guy wants to have a gun, let him. Don't start passing judgement on him. Just because he bought one doesn't mean he is going to kill someone or that he is insecure in his manhood.

Please tell me you aren't as stupid as you sound. The United States can walk into Iraq and confiscate anything because Iraq signed a cease-fire that prohibits it from developing certain weapons. Whether these weapons still exist or not isn't an appropriate topic for this thread, but if Iraq has any illegal weapons, the United States is fully within its rights to terminate the cease-fire and invade.

Gun owners have signed no such agreements, and it certainly isn't up to a clueless dipshit like you decide what constitutes too much "power". Anyone who uses the terms "assault rifle" and "regular rifle" isn't qualified to talk about guns.

we signed agreements regarding nuclear weapons that we later chose to disregard as well. so i guess it would be alright with you if russia invaded us.

why else would he buy it? he's either going to use it for its purpose, or he's going to show it off, like right now.

Thomsbrain,
I think the so called logic you apply to who should own what, what its purpose is, or association with sexual identity points at your own 'shortcomings' more than anyone elses...

People collect things. My dad has a small gun collection, every now and then we go target shooting. Other than that, they are locked in a safe. Last I checked, he doesn't go out shooting people or waving them when my parent's have company over screaming "LOOK AT MY GUNS..LOOK HOW SHINY THEY ARE!!!"

People collect stamps. It doesn't mean they are going to mail things with them.

That has the be the best analogy I've heard about collecting guns and such. I'm going to remember and use that one

The United States has never signed a cease-fire agreement that allows other countries to inspect and limit its arsenal.

When a country withdraws from a treaty, the other countries involved then no longer have to abide by the terms of the treaty. When a country violates the terms of a cease-fire, the other countries involved terminate the cease fire and kick that country's ass. The difference between a treaty and a cease-fire agreement is enormous.

Interesting, but I don't agree with your analogy. You are alluding to the point that the gun's purpose is to make harm on people, but it isn't. Putting holes in paper may be its only purpose.

But according to Mr. Dumbass here, you don't need a semiautomatic rifle to put holes in paper, and therefore its only purpose must be to kill people. Nevermind the fact that almost all gun crime is committed by criminals with handguns. Nevermind the fact that "assault rifles" like the AR-15 are accurate and easy to fire with little kickback, so they're excellent guns for target shooting. Nevermind the fact that every gun has its own "feel" to it, and that gun enthusiasts, like all other hobbiests in the world, enjoy a little diversity.

I think thomsbrain has been watching too much Rosie O'Donnell. Let's just hope that Rosie and thomsbrain don't decide that no one needs a BMW because a Civic works just fine.

Add in the fact that you assign good/evil values to an inanimate object which requires human intervention to do anything, and I think it is clear. The retard in this thread is you.

BAHAAAHAAAAHAA!!!!!....LOL!!!
