BTW i love my JRT. She's small for a Jack Russel so I tell everyone she's a Jill Russel.
She is not hyper like most (my step daughters is "Hell Dog". He even has evil eyes and watches TV) and is extreemly smart. You'll want to get training early as they have the propensity to train you .

I'm liking Sandy, Jill, Maggie, and Betty. I wanna have more of a dog name (not a people name) but I'm probably gonna pick one of those four.

As for training, should I look into some sort of course or can I do it just by going by a book? I know how to train them to sit, but other than that I'm at a loss.

anyhow, with that colouring, a good name would be Brandy (after the alcoholic beverage)...suits the dog, also is a good name to train a dog with, they respond to the inflections you can use in the name easier than others. And believe me, you wanna train a JRT young, otherwise you can end up with a nosebiting-fluffyslipperravaging-demon.

Yeah, she's already discovered my shoes. I think I'm gonna go out to Books a Million this evening and pick up some kinda dog training book.

Beautiful Jack Russell. Is she your first experience wth the breed?

Yep, she is my first very own personal dog (not the family's dog where everybody else usually takes care of it ) so it's gonna be a learning experience.

LOL. I've had three. To call a JRT a learning experience is like calling ogrish.com "only slightly disgusting"

I still haven't figured out a name for her yet, so any suggestions for a name for a small female dog would be great.

Destructo, because that's what she's going to do to your home. Alternatively you could call her hyper, damagedog, chewie or noisefactory.

Well, after talking it over with 4 fine assed cheerleaders we decided to go with Maggie. Directly across from my apartment is sorority row (and I mean directly across, I look out my door and I see straight ahead of me 6 sorority houses) and they all have their meetings on sunday nights so there are literally hundreds of super hot girls walking around outside my door. This little puppy is going to be so badass!

Ah, so it's all a ploy to reel in the girls.

And OMG DOES IT WORK. Seriously, no girl can resist a cute puppy. Ever.
