I dont think I am going to need more than 1G of PC400 ram anyways though....will I?
Decisions, decisions.
the chaintech cannot run 3 sticks of ram, u will get all types of errors. However, the DFI is one of, if not the only, socket 754 boards that can handle 3 sticks of ram. When I had the chaintech i got all types of errors etc, but now w/ the DFI it's smooth sailing.
I'm telling you, DO NOT GET CHAINTECH, get the DFI!!! It's the ferrari of mobos!!!
I've owned 3 vnf3-250's(thats how maany times i had to RMA) and can testify that the DFI is better. From the day i got it it was super easy to setup and packed w/ features.
not to mention dfi-street.com is silled w/ DFI lanparty 250gb ut members so theres a big community there to support you(including DFI employees and Oskar Wu, famous creator of the DFi bios) when you're having problems. If you can afford it, go D-F-I!!!
someone warned me about the chaintech and I did'nt listen and got screwed, so now i feel as though it must warn others so they dont get screwed like i did.
