My New rig is ordered

Everything should be arriving by weeks end, and it should be a monster system.

Antec P160 mid tower
Antec NeoPower 550w modular PS
DFI Ultra-D
Opteron 165 (will be OC'd)
ATI Radeon X1900XT 512MB GDDR3 PCI E
WD 150GB 10Krpm Raptor
Mushkin Redline XP4000 2GB (2x1GB) Ram
Optical 1 Lite-On DVD-RW w/lightscribe
Optical 2 NEC ND-3550A
Audigy 2 ZS (existing card should do just fine)

So what do you alll think? I'm pretty eager to get it and put it together.
Mushkin requires an active memory cooler for their redline, anybody have some reccommendations?

Sick man, sick.

I have some mushkin RAM that has a similar heatspreader as the redline -- open holes on the top. I've mounted a 90mm fan blowing directly onto my 2 dimms and have a suspicion that it has helped with my OC. Seems like the fan would make a much bigger difference given that these mushkin do have the holes in the heatspreaders, but I haven't tried unplugging my fan to see if my OC is still stable so who really knows?

Did I mention that's a sick rig? Add one more x1900XT in full x16 SLI and that's about the best possible system that I could think to build today.

board changed...asus sli premium

Yeah, you caught me. Who even cared about crossfire until a week and a half ago anyway??? Won't make the same mistake again.

Thanks guys, as soon as i get it built and stable, i'll start burning it in and oc'ing. I decided to go with this for the active memory cooler, seems to work quite well. and for $12.00 how can you go wrong.

I honestly can't justify having 2 vid cards, at least not right now, and with the performance of the x1900xt, i don't really care anyway, it's close enough.

Another thing i'm pondering is which heatsink to use, i've got a thermaltake P90 that's done me right so far, so use that or the stock opty heatsink. Decisions...Decisions...

Gotta love the Mushkin XP4000. Have some running in my DFI Lanparty, Opty 165 rig as well .
