I finally bite the bullet and brought the components for my PC - I went with the following :-
Item: Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 2.53GHz (1066MHz) Socket 775 3MB L2 Cache Retail Boxed Processor - Qty: 1
Item: Seagate ST3250410AS 250GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache - OEM - Qty: 1
Item: Antec Sonata III Piano Black Quiet Mid Tower Case - With 500W EarthWatts PSU - Qty: 1
Item: Sapphire HD 3650 512MB DDR2 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card - Qty: 1
Item: Corsair 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 Memory Non-ECC Unbuffered CL5(5-5-5-18) Heat Spreader Lifetime Warranty - Qty: 1
Item: Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G iP35 Socket 775 6 channel audio ATX Motherboard - Qty: 1
Now I know I have a v.v.v.poor graphics card (well assuming its poor by price) but am planning to upgrade at Christmas - 4870 if my PSU can handle it.
Now the choice is Vista 64 bit or XP SP1 - an earier topic suggest Vista 64 bit - will this affect Football Manager though? (the main reason I've upgraded) and secondly given the system what games could I realsically buy for it which are Command and Conquer/Age of Myth type games?
Please let me know what you think of the system, I'm putting my own DVD in, and the cost came to £337.36 with delivery and inc VAT.
Thank you to everyone who has responded in previous posts, you've all been a great help.
