My New Systems 3DMark Score

Just ran the trial version of 3DMark03 and scored a 12,042

Athlon 64 FX-53
ATI X800 XT Platinum
1 GB Corsair XMS DDR 3200
Asus SK8V

etc. etc.

Ill score higher if I tweak my setup some more but I just got it tonight so we'll see what happens.

I've been playing Far Cry all night at 1600X1200 settings maxed out.. silky smooth...

Bought it off of a friend who had pre ordered a few.... I'm going to turn on the overdrive and run 3dmark again see what i can get with that. It's a nice card

I had a buddy in Italy to run his Sapphire X800XT PE.
He is running a P4 3.0 Ghz System and got 11,500 marks for 3D mark 03

seems to be now that the only thing that matters to everybody is 3dmark...

so frustraiting. In maximum pc, they reviewed the x800xt and 6800u... the nV card won all the 3dmark scores, but lost to every single real world gaming scores. Not so much what does that tell you about nV.. but what does it tell u about 3dmark? Just because you get a great score in 3dmark doesnt mean you get higher fps in-game. Think logically

is it just me , or did i see somewhere that the Overdrive function is only available on the ATI X800XT? Cause I have an X800 Pro, and also the Overdrive function.

Are you using the cats 4.6s? They do wonders for the x800 cards.

I also had a low 12000 score in 3dmark on my XT (12014 I believe), but overclocked to 584/584 I got over 14000. The memory on these cards is incredible: it'll overclock like anything if you want it to. I actually was able to take the memory up to 656 mhz but it didnt give any performance benefits.

Yeah, I was surprised too. But I guess the cards have more than adequate memory speeds at stock.

With that huge bandwich it won't benefit, that's not the bottleneck.
