I don't think you can realistically fit a large desk, computer chair, and a computer with two monitors in a typical car. SUV or a van, maybe.

1. Sell all your crap.
- You don't need a desk.
- You don't need monitors.
- You don't need a chair.
2. Buy a laptop.
- Sit anywhere! Comes with its own monitor!
3. Buy any car that is cheap to own.

I just solved all your problems in one post. I'll send you the invoice later.

You just solved some of the symptoms of his larger problems.

Yeah I mean this thread is like a year old and I remember at one point he was looking for a Hybrid with a manual transmission based off the knowledge that one car 15-20 years ago had that. Every time some one gets close to a car that fits what he says he wants he shifts the goal posts.

Edit: NVM that was someone else responding to the Pruis suggestion. But Tridents goal posts have moved throughout this thread several times.

For those wondering, I drove a 2014 Dodge Charger RT for about 15,000 miles this year. It wasn't a bad car in some ways. I had 0 confidence driving it in the twisties (especially around here where there's no guard rails and you just go off a cliff) but it had plenty of overtaking power and was pleasant most other times. In fact, I really liked the overtaking power because it's basically the only way I can stop from going insane from the traffic I deal with. (People who won't get the fuck outta the left lane) One reason I had 0 confidence in turns is mostly because of the forced computer controls. You could turn off stability control but that's it. You'd still upshift, you'd still have traction control on... etc. Basically you could opt into throwing yourself into a ditch.

So, I'm ruling out the Miata for now. I mean, maybe an engine swap would change my mind but that just seems silly. Prius is out too. ANYTHING that cannot do 110mph with relative ease seems to be out of the question.

I'm not driving the charger anymore. It really is a bit of a boat. Also, no way to turn off traction control or stop it from upshifting. Both were dealkillers for me. I've mildly considered the scat pack version because that seems to have the oomph that I'm looking for and has a better exhaust. (Hellcat is just too expensive but I wouldn't mind it as a second car! May as well buy a GT350R for the price though... But, hellcat is the more practical car...)

Looking at the N54 BMW 335i more heavily now. Tuning it with cobb or jb4. Do some simple mods, if necessary. Bad news all over that area but whatever. It's what I'm really leaning towards. M3 and all the others are just too expensive.

And, I'm driving a 1995 Jeep Wrangler (4.0L manual) right now. It's interesting. Wish I had the automatic because this thing is a PITA to shift. It's slow too but it makes a commotion trying to get to speed. Burns some oil doing it too... Either it's an unhealthy engine or just how it is. I've only gotten it up to 90, I think. (Speedo only goes to 100 anyway) Where I am and with how long it takes, it ain't worth trying to get higher. I'm thinking of taking the doors and roof off but I need a good place to store them. Also, taking the hardtop off isn't a one person job. Might not even be a two person job. Who knows.

Goal is to eventually get it on 2 wheels but I haven't been feeling too frisky with it yet. Been gaining confidence with how hard I can turn it.

But, uh, leaf springs? They can go to hell. If I drive the thing for more than an hour and lay in bed, I can still feel the bumps. I feel like a bobble head when I'm in the thing. Total spine crusher. Honestly have no idea how this thing made it off the production line.

FTR you don't put a Jeep on two wheels by TURNING. Unless you want to die, of course, which very well may be the case if you're driving a YJ at 90mph.

Get an outback with the H6.

RIP trident. guess we should be checking the news for jeep rollovers.

i'm still baffled as to how he can be considering vehicles from so many different segments. they're in no way comparable at all.

That any of you are even haphazardly responding seriously...

At this point he's not even trying to hide that he's trolling.

I'm aware of how dangerous it is. Why do you think I haven't done it yet? :sneaky:

I seriously doubt anyone wonders about what you do TridenT.

You post like a spoiled brat that makes poor decisions all of the time, more or less.

Get a Ford C-Max.

Compared to the Prius:

- bigger
- quieter
- better ride
- Domestic car
- lower price.

Mine is pretty much a champ. Lower gas MPG, but also has like 180 combined HP.

Based on Trident's posts, this dude must have an alternate personality/schizo. He really needs to seek professional help ASAP.

Before you judge him, care to post what your trash can looks like so we can compare?

You should seriously consider taking performance driving classes if any modern production car feels unsafe to drive.

Well, if you're trying to do controlled drifts and traction control is rather unpredictable and flakey... or are near a shift point (which changes dynamically even in manual mode) in a turn with a computer that forces you to upshift and you're at the limits of grip... I'm just saying that the car abruptly shifting mid-turn doesn't really inspire confidence.

I take it that is a joke as I never posted anything about trash cans.

But you apparently know he appears to be a trust fund baby type.

You're not driving anywhere near the limit with a Charger R/T on a public road, so frankly it doesn't matter. Learning some car control will be a much greater benefit/asset than swapping rides.

This isn't a particular attack on your driving skills. Just like any other sport, it takes considerable training to be any good, and very few people make it into the first few hours.
