I use T-Mobile plan and won't be switching anytime soon.
I recently killed the microphone while running in the rain (I've abused my Nexus 5X a lot and it owes me nothing). So, I was trying to get through to October using Bluetooth for the microphone. I really miss the Nexus line of good hardware at a good price. My Girlfriend got a Pixel (not 2) and it seems to be a nice phone. I'm hoping that the Pixel 3 will be a great phone that will last me around 3 years (helps me rationalize paying so much for a phone).
Having said that... My son bought a Nokia 6 and likes it a lot. Now that the Nokia 6.1 is out and is slightly improved, I'm thinking of getting the Nokia 6.1 international version (no warranty, but 4GB of ram (vs. 3GB) and 64GB of storage (vs. 32GB)). At $225 I'm thinking this could be a great phone for me, a guy who likes decent hardware and pure android, but doesn't need the high end stuff. I've looked at the Nokia 6.1 US and don't see it as a better option at the moment (I know that going from 2GB of ram to 3GB will seem nice initially, but I'm betting that 4GB of ram will allow me to use the phone for a longer time).
I figured that I'd ask opinions here, since you guys steered me in the right direction when it was time to get rid of my Nexus 4! Right now, I looked at the MotoZ which has a steep discount and looks to be nice on paper, but has a lot of 1 star reviews. It seems to lack the longevity that I really want.
So, please tell me what I got right and what I'm missing. Thanks in advance for the guidance.
