My parents don't believe that

My sisters and I have mentioned to my parents that there are students who've gone through highschool with out studying for any of their tests or studied very little and especially didn't have to do all nighters in order to achieve decent grades. My parents say that the kids are lying and that all students have to try as hard as we have, personally I think they're wrong. But I'm unable to convince them of otherwise, so, did you go through highschool with out pulling an all-nighter? Did you have to study weeknights and weekends to achieve good grades in your classes?

I study the morning of the tests in high school, mostly. I do fine. I wish I had better study habits, though. But there is no one to blame but myself. Ironically, I wish I had someone telling me to study more like your parents do....

i had to study a good bit (no all nighters) but my HS was like #2 in the state...

I hardly did any work in high school. Right at the end I did just enough to pass my exams and get into the university I wanted, but that's it.

Studying in HS? HA. I never picked up a book in HS and I'm in a great college as a result of that. I do work now in college, but I've never pulled an all-nighter, and never would consider it since I wouldn't be able to pay attention in class the next day.

I studied my butt off in HS, coasted through first three years of college, then had to study again senior year and in grad school.

I never took a book home in my 4 years of highschool and I got a 3.99 GPA in AP/honors classes.

In college, I drank 4+ nights a week, never stayed up past 1am studying, and hardly did any work, and got a 3.6 GPA in electrical engineering.

I breezed through HS with a 3.4 gpa, never studying or doing HW. In fact I slept through most of my period 1-4 classes. Would have been 4.0 except a lot of my teachers deducted from my grades for lack of HW.

College was an ugly wakeup call.

It's definitely an incredibly good idea to study and do HW, not only to build study habits and a good work ethic but to really impress what you're learning into long-term memory and aid you in becoming an educated person - which btw isn't indicated by a diploma or a degree... not by a long shot.

It depends. People are actually full of ****** sometimes, to make themselves look smarter or what not.
Personally, I study very little, which is why I have C's in some courses. Just study you lazy fart, don't give about what other people say.
