It's been proven regular vs sports car does nothing to increase teh risk to the 'young' driver. Many times the upgraded car ends up saving them.
Jealousy is rampant though....
Jealousy? Nothing 700 RWHP can't fix in a flash
what engine mods and fuel you running on that 20psi?
I know not many going beyond 11-15 psi.
Most people are doing 15 psi on the first drive home with the stock eaton, either stock or polished, with just a pulley and chip combo. Some of the more all out guys are running 26+ psi with the KB blowers on race fuel and have gone to full axles and everything.
The list of bolt ons you saw is pretty much current, with the addition of a few other things since, like 5/8" fuel rails and after market intake and larger MAF, and AF and temp gauges. I use a minimum of 92 octane pump gas, or if I really think I'm gonna step on it and want peace of mind for the weekend there are a few places that have 105 for a price... Oh and I got a nice little Cobra emblem keychain coming in the mail lol.
Crower Stage II cams are on the wish list. Upcoming when I have the time and cash will be IRS bracing, stronger half shafts, and beefier tranny shafts and straight cut gears so I can take it to the track on slicks with confidence
As is now, it's effortless to end some brat's first day prancing about in the new car mommy and daddy just bought them ... *hangs head in shame* yes it's a stupid vendetta I've had since highschool and my first year of college when everyone else had new 30k+ cars (painstakingly obvious that the parents bought it) and I didn't have squat... now I grin mercilessly instead of frown when I see a teen in a BMW.
I am glad my parents never bought me anything like that, or I wouldn't have the vengence and ambition that make me capable of doing anything I want today.
