These are a couple of pictures I took at the Thunder Over the Boardwalk airshow in Atlantic City, NJ.

I thought these were interesting:

Heritage Flight- front line fighters


Another shot of them flying overhead



Those are the front line fighters which served, are serving, and will serve in the Air Force. A P-51 Mustang, an F-4 Phantom, an F-15 Eagle, and a F-22 Raptor.

I see that it's from a Digital Rebel, what kind of lens did you have on it? Also, what is the magnification of that shot?

Cool I guess. Are you big on jets / fighter planes? Wouldn't be as interesting to me.

So thats what that was - I saw a B-17 and B24 flying over manhattan couple times this past weekend. I figured it was dept of homeland sercurity running short on planes ....

*sigh*...I love airshows...and Heritage Flights are the best...nothing like the old with the new...

And in the pic in the OP, we know who would win that dogfight...

How can you tell it's a Rebel? That is a sweet shot indeed, makes me want to get a DSLR camera.

How can you tell it's a Rebel? That is a sweet shot indeed, makes me want to get a DSLR camera.

because if you right click on the picture, properties, summary, advanced, it tells you it was a rebel. the shutter speed was too slow for that amount of light and the fstop would have been better at 8 or higher. its a decent picture but it had potential to be great.

Well if it isn't loaded, the F-15 can take off/fly a little less than 200.

If you guys like air shows, you should go to EAA in Wisconsin. I am from Milwaukee, so its a quick 90 minute trip for me.

BTW: Those are some sweet pics... I gota fnd some from EAA to put on here.

When they were flying by, you could see a huge different in angle of attack. The P-51 was level, while the F-15 was at an angle.

But that P-51 hauled ass when it did a flyby. For a propeller plane, it was very fast.
